The Michigan Traveling Circus is an organization of vendors who travel throughout Michigan providing products and services to Michigan banks. They host outings throughout the year to raise money to fund scholarships for college juniors, seniors and first-year graduate students in a finance or related major, through the George Harding Scholarship Fund.
The George Harding Scholarship Fund was established in honor of
journalist George Harding, is administered by members of the Michigan
Traveling Circus. The first scholarship was awarded in 1984 and since
that time, the fund has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships to
youth pursuing a career in finance. Applicants must be Michigan college
juniors or seniors majoring in business or finance studies.
