Banking School Scholarships
The MBA offers three scholarships that enable banking professionals from member banks further pursue studies in bank management.
Graduate School of Banking Scholarships
- GSB Human Resource Management School Scholarship
The GSB Human Resource Management School Scholarship provides an $925 scholarship to assist a HR professional to expand their knowledge in the banking industry and HR management through this one-year program. - Prochnow Educational Foundation/Michigan Bankers Association Scholarship
The Prochnow scholarship amount is $1,250.00 for each year of the student’s attendance (approximately 1/3 of the annual tuition fees), at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin – Madison) for a total value of $3,750. Deadline: April 1, 2012
MBA Perry Schools of Banking Scholarship
The Michigan Bankers Association awards a full-tuition scholarship for the popular MBA Perry Schools of Banking. A full one year scholarship valued at $990 will go to a selected MBA member bank employee entering their first year at the MBA School. View scholarship application here.
The award will be presented at the MBA Bankers Education Summit and Trade Show (BEST) Conference on April 11-13, 2012 at the Grand Traverse Resort in Traverse City. Deadline is April 1, 2012.
George Harding Scholarship Available
The George Harding Scholarship Fund, established in honor of journalist George Harding, is administered by the Michigan Bankers Association and financed by members of the affiliate group, the Michigan Traveling Circus. The first scholarship was awarded in 1984 and since that time, the fund has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to youth pursuing a career in finance.
The Michigan Traveling Circus is comprised of bankers, bank vendors and association representatives across Michigan. Their primary focus is to raise funds to support the George Harding Scholarship which encourages students pursuing degrees in the financial arena.
