Banking School Scholarships
The MBA offers many scholarships that enable banking professionals from member banks further pursue studies in bank management.
MBA Perry Schools of Banking Scholarship
The Michigan Bankers Association awards a full-tuition scholarship for the popular MBA Perry Schools of Banking. A full one year scholarship valued at $1,140 is awarded annually.

Graduate School of Banking Scholarships
- Prochnow Educational Foundation/Michigan Bankers Association Scholarship
The Prochnow scholarship amount is $1,300.00 for each year of the student’s attendance (approximately 1/3 of the annual tuition fees), at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin – Madison) for a total value of $3,750.

- Ann Kleist Scholarship
The Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin is pleased to introduce an all-new scholarship honoring Ann Kleist, former GSB vice president and CFO. Kleist retired in December, 2012, after 37 years of service to the school. The Ann Kleist Scholarship honors Kleist’s contributions to the Graduate School of Banking as well her dedication to community service and volunteerism. Community service will be key criteria in selecting a scholarship recipient; the banker chosen for this award will be active in banking and also engaged in giving back to his or her community through volunteerism. This scholarship provides a gift of $1,300.00 for each year of the student’s attendance (approximately 1/3 of the annual tuition fees) for a total value of $3,900. Deadline to apply is March 29, 2013. - Human Resources School Scholarship
This popular one-week school, designed specifically for HR professionals in the financial industry, addresses today’s most critical HR issues. This school provides the foundation for new or veteran human resource professionals to tie together the important issues in human resource management with a bottom-line understanding about the business of banking. - 2013 GSB Banker Advisory Board Scholarship
The 2013 GSB Banker Advisory Board Scholarship to the Graduate School of Banking – at the University of Wisconsin – Madison was recently awarded to Thumb National Bank & Trust Company for their exceptional participation in MBA education. Thumb National Bank & Trust Company will receive the scholarship award at the upcoming BEST Conference, April 24-26 in Traverse City.
George Harding Scholarship Available
The George Harding Scholarship Fund, established in honor of journalist George Harding, is administered by the Michigan Bankers Association and financed by members of the affiliate group, the Michigan Traveling Circus. The first scholarship was awarded in 1984 and since that time, the fund has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to youth pursuing a career in finance.
The Michigan Traveling Circus is comprised of bankers, bank vendors and association representatives across Michigan. Their primary focus is to raise funds to support the George Harding Scholarship which encourages students pursuing degrees in the financial arena.
