Grassroots

Current Grassroots Bulletins
August          September          October          November

Grassroots involvement is a very powerful force in politics. Consistent grassroots efforts are vital when it comes to persuading legislators how to vote on a specific issue. Getting to know your legislator makes your contact with them even more important. As a constituent, your concerns are important to your congressman and state representatives.

The MBA’s Contact Banker program works with the state legislators on Michigan issues. Our state efforts concentrate on building personal relationships between bankers and their state legislators. As a participant you will be asked to contact your legislator on important bank related issues that develop in Lansing.

As a part of this program, you will be given talking points and sample letters as issues arise, making it easy for you to make calls, send emails, write your legislators, or host meetings in your bank. You may register this both program by calling the MBA at 517-485-3600.
